The Horse is about independence and physical movement. Horse doesn’t like to be tied up or stuck in a corral for too long. They are capable of great things—speed, endurance, strength, momentum, action, power, and ambition. Horse is a free-spirit and doesn’t like to be told what to do. They are temperamental and quick to react as their ruling element is Fire. The shadow side of Horse is arrogance and boredom. I’m sure you’re already getting a sense of how this could all play out as folks become restless and want to get out into the world and explore the great outdoors. When we enter a new month’s energy, all of us are influenced by the energy in some way or other.
June is a Yang Wood month. Yang Wood is like a dense forest and carries the energy of thunder! There will be plenty of fuel for the Fire of this heated month. Be careful what issues, thoughts, discussions, beliefs and feelings you are feeding. You may experience unpredictable flare-ups, sudden change and swift reactions. Keep your cool, slow your breath, and step back.
Remember, we are still in an Ox year. Ox and Horse do things differently, and if you choose to mess with the bull—you just may get the horns.
I am usually ready for this energy, as I was born the year of the Yang Fire Horse, but a couple weeks ago the Ox sent me down a half flight of stairs as a reminder to slow down. OUCH! But, my calendar is full teaching summer semester at SLCC in the interior design and architect department, starting my third feng shui certification training group of the year this month, and continuing the SSS Membership every Monday.
