Have you heard of the Law of Attraction? Have you seen it in action in your own world?
The premise of the Law of Attraction is that what you focus on (the energy you send out into the universe) is what you will attract.
There couldn’t be a more real-time example of the Law of Attraction than our engagement with social media…
Social media is a real clear indicator of where you are focusing your attention. Just go look at your feed.
Are you seeing posts of hopefulness, positivity and support, or are you seeing posts and ads that speak to your fears, anxieties and judgments?
I hate to say this, but you can’t blame Facebook or Instagram. Their algorithms are based on what YOU are seeking. What posts are you clicking on, commenting on, who are you following that is fueling negativity?
Wherever you are putting your social media attention is what you will receive in return. It’s the natural law.
I am surprised when I hear people say that they are disengaging from social media (which can be a very valuable platform) because they don’t like what they see. Am I the only one that doesn’t have this problem? My feed is filled with inspiring quotes, videos of people doing good, comments of support and encouragement, and positive Facebook Friends.
Why is mine different? Because I choose to put my attention towards positive things, ideals, thoughts, emotions, and people. If someone were to pop up in my feed (even if it were a family member or friend) who posted anything other than what I want my life to be filled with will be swiftly “unfollowed”. Sorry Aunt Betsy!
YOUR FENG SHUI CHALLENGE
- Go in and clean up your Facebook account
- Unfollow (that’s not the same as unfriending) those folks who are cluttering your feed with their fears
- Don’t click on any ads or posts that don’t align with a fresh new positive outlook on life. Let the Facebook system work for you, not against you!
These algorithms target the things you are looking at and engaging with. It’s just like Amazon…if you are looking for a new camera on Amazon, within seconds, camera ads start showing up everywhere.
Desire more for yourself — you deserve it.
Let me know how it goes and be careful with the content YOU are sharing . . . because I don’t want to have to unfollow you too! (wink wink)
