The Pig is the last animal in the Chinese zodiac wheel signifying an end to a cycle. This truly is a great month to reflect and release those things that are you keeping you in the same old place — you know what they are.
Gratitude is a profound part of the process of cleaning up and letting things go. I feel a strong aspect for us to let go of are our EXPECTATIONS. Where are you at with your own expectations? This Dog year, and us coming out of a Dog month, have heightened our expectations of ourselves and others. This is really unrealistic. How can we not be so hard on one another? How can we get back to a place of compassion and empathy? While the Dog may have mile-high standards, he is the most empathetic creature in the zodiac. He teaches us how to be more attentive. What parts of your life need more attention?
This Pig month (Nov. 7 – Dec. 6, 2018) will give us a slight glimpse of things to come as we move into 2019 year of the Yin Earth Pig. So pay attention to any adjustment you need to make in your life. I will be sharing so much more about this energy and how to prepare in my first Chinese New Year Festival on January 19, 2019. So SAVE-THE-DATE for that as invitations will be going out for that soon.
